The Root (With a Small Exponent of Explanation)

I was about to make a comment on original thought especially with the network war going on in the TV airwaves here in our country when I got to just thinking of arrogance and mission. The former topic was quite enticing, with its twisted plots of libel and thievery of intellectual property but then arrogance and mission were, to my mind, part of the root of it all, well, in terms of original thought. I have come across people, especially braggard adolescents, who wave the "carpe diem" phrase during lunch to sound cool as it was their own invention and forgetting that it came from the golden age of philosophy more than two thousand years ago.
